The Victoria Symphony’s Instrument Petting Zoo!

Toot a trumpet! Visit a violin! Cuddle a Clarinet?! This year we will be again hosting the Victoria Symphony’s Instrument Petting Zoo in the Family Zone.

What is an Instrument Petting Zoo?

The Victoria Symphony’s Instrument Petting Zoo gives children (and adults!) of all ages the opportunity to try a musical instrument. It is a relaxing and fun way to spark a child’s interest in music and to give them a first hand try of many different instruments.

How will they know what to do?

Never fear, the Instrument Petting Zoo is supervised by the Victoria Symphony’s capable vsYOUTH volunteers. vsYOUTH volunteers are experienced highschool or university students who all love music and enjoy working with kids. They will guide your child to the right way to hold, blow or bow each instruments.

Instruments provided by Long & McQuade.
