Announces the following vacancies for the 2012/13 season

Principal 2nd Violin – National

National auditions will be held on Tuesday May 8, 2012 at 12:00 pm at the University of Victoria School of Music building.

2012-13         $1,086.80 weekly scale for 36 weeks; 2 weeks paid vacation; 8% EPW-AFM pension;
Accidental death and Dismemberment, sick leave

The musicians of the Victoria Symphony are Canadian Members of the American Federation of Musicians.

Candidates may be required to show proof of Canadian citizenship, residency or eligibility to work in Canada

Principal Percussion (Part Contract) – National

National auditions will be held on Monday May 14, 2012 at 10:00 am at the University of Victoria School of Music building.

2012-13         $135.85 per service; 190 minimum guarantee (over a 36 week season);
8% EPW-AFM pension; 25% doubling as per Master Agreement

The musicians of the Victoria Symphony are Canadian Members of the American Federation of Musicians.

Candidates may be required to show proof of Canadian citizenship, residency or eligibility to work in Canada.
